
Mettur Dam
The Mettur Dam is one of the largest dams in India built in 1934. It was constructed in a gorge, where the Kaveri River enters the plains. It provides irrigation facilities to parts of Salem, the length of Erode, Namakkal, Karur, Tiruchirappali and Thanjavur district for 271,000 acres (110,000 ha) of farm land.

Kiliyur Falls is a waterfall in the Shervaroyan hill range in the Eastern Ghats, Tamil nadu, India. The waters overflowing the Yercaud Lake fall 300 ft (91 m) into the Kiliyur Valley.

Kailasanathar Temple
The kanchi Kailasanathar temple is the oldest structure in Kanchipuram.[1] Located in Tamil Nadu, India, it is a Hindu temple in the Dravidian architectural style. It is dedicated to the Lord Shiva, and is known for its historical importance. The temple was built from 685-705AD by a Rajasimha ruler of the Pallava Dynasty. The low-slung sandstone compound contains a large number of carvings, including many half-animal deities which were popular during the early Dravidian architectural period. The structure contains 58 small shrines which are dedicated to various forms of Shiva.

Kurumbapatti Zoological Park
The Kurumbapatti Zoological Park, situated on a sprawling 11.5 hectares of reserve forest land, at the foothills of Shevaroyan Hills near here will be developed at a cost of Rs. 10 crore. The park was opened for visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The park with spotted deer, sambar deer, white peacock, bonnet macaque, grey pelican, little egret, greyheron, turtle, marsh crocodile, star tortoise, plum headed parakeet, rose ringed parakeet, a 58-year-oldelephant Andal and yellow-footed green pigeon treron phoenicoptera were the main attractions for the visitors.

Poimankaradu
Poiman Karadu is situated on the Salem- Namakkal National Highway, 9 km away from the city of Salem. The main feature of this place is that, from a particular spot, specifically a cave between rocks on the nearby hills, this place is visible like a deer with two horns.
